My puppies are born in our home and are socialize before they go to their new families, and not just by having people visit them here at home where they are comfortable. We bring the pups outside of their comfort zone to socialize and experience the world as soon as they can see, hear and walk, as at this age they are able to be imprinted in all situation positively. We also start to allow people whom we know who are experienced with puppies, visit the litter to help socialize and train them. By the time you get your puppy they normally already have an idea of basic commands, 'sit', 'down', 'stand', target training etc. I try to start on some agility training for puppies; mini dog walk, tunnel, wobble board (teeter), and lay down on a raised platform, are all the common things I start with. In addition to loving pet homes, many of my pups go to show and performance homes where they travel and go to new places including hotels every weekend. I want my pups to have the best chance of success with their new owners and a stable temperament is extremely important! Below you can see one of my 2020 litters on a trip to the beach at 6 weeks old.
